In Chilingali, Nkhotakota District, restoring and strengthening the buffer zone separating the irrigation scheme from the river course is far more than an infrastructure project. It means safeguarding arable land, the hard work of farmers, and the resources that entire families rely on throughout the year.
The protective strip, spanning a total length of 2.32 km, now borders the 100-hectare Chilingali irrigation scheme.

CISP and the Social Policies and Health Department of Roma Capitale organized in Rome the 4th International Symposium of the TRANSFORMED project.
Across two days, the event brought together civil society organizations, local authorities, youth networks, social workers, and policymakers from across the Euro-Mediterranean region to share experiences, strategies, and methodologies for participatory governance and social inclusion.
The Symposium also launched a long term initiative running through 2028 to offer local organizations in Rome the chance to join a Euro-Mediterranean network for inclusion, master co-design tools alongside public authorities, and contribute directly to the Guide on Participatory Community Data Analysis.
