5x1000 to CISP

Food is a right. Protect it with your signature.

While international aid is being withdrawn, hunger does not stop.

For over 40 years, CISP has been transforming public support into vital interventions. In today's landscape, we have made a clear choice: to stay and continue our work.
We are staying in Venezuela, where we fight acute malnutrition using Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) that restores children's health and weight in just a few weeks without separating them from their families. We are staying in the Horn of Africa and the Sahrawi Camps, where food security has become a mirage for millions due to ration cuts. We are staying in Sudan to ensure that the right to food is upheld alongside the dignity of providing for one's own children.

By donating your 5x1000 to CISP, you help us sustain this mission.

What we achieve with your help

Tackling food insecurity is not just about emergency response; it is about building resilience. This is why our commitment ranges from life-saving interventions to long-term programs:
  • Distribution of therapeutic food and supplements for boys and girls suffering from acute malnutrition in the most fragile contexts, such as Somalia and parts of Venezuela.
  • School canteens in the Sahrawi Refugee Camps in Algeria, where nutrition and education grow hand in hand.
  • Support for agriculture and livestock: we provide seeds, tools, and training to enable communities to produce their own food even under extreme conditions like droughts and floods, worsened by the climate crisis in Africa and Latin America.
  • Access to water: we build water infrastructure because, without water, there are no harvests, no hygiene, and no health—as seen in our active projects in Ethiopia.
  • "Cash for Dignity" programs: we provide direct economic support to families, allowing them the autonomy to choose how to feed their children and preserving their dignity even amidst an immeasurable humanitarian crisis like the one in Sudan.

2026: The collapse of aid puts millions of lives at risk

International cooperation is facing an unprecedented funding crisis. Humanitarian aid funded by the United States through USAID—the world’s largest cooperation agency, effectively slashed by the Trump administration at the start of its second term—has plummeted from 14 billion to just 3.7 billion dollars between 2024 and 2025.
In Italy, the Budget Law outlines a reduction of over 113 million euros between 2026 and 2027.
Similar cuts are being implemented by other European nations.
According to a recent study published in The Lancet, “Official Development Assistance (ODA) funding has played a decisive role in reducing preventable mortality in low- and middle-income countries over the last two decades; the abrupt withdrawal of this support now threatens to cause millions of avoidable deaths, undoing decades of progress in global health.

In 2026, millions of people worldwide will face hunger, yet available resources will only allow for the assistance of a small fraction.

An unprecedented challenge: why your 5x1000 matters more today

Working in international cooperation is now harder than ever. Many organizations have been forced to close offices and halt vital programs.
For CISP, this means relying even more on the solidarity of citizens. Your 5x1000 is no longer "just" a contribution; it is a fundamental pillar for keeping nutritional centers active in the Sahrawi Camps, clinics open in Sudan, and agricultural projects running in Ethiopia and the many other countries where we work every day.
Choosing to designate your 5x1000 to CISP means deciding not to stand by. It means choosing to be on the right side of history, ensuring that political cuts do not become death sentences for those who have already lost everything.

An unprecedented challenge: why your 5x1000 matters more today

Because with the crisis in institutional funding, your signature is no longer a symbolic gesture — it becomes the primary resource to:

  • Purchase and distribute life-saving therapeutic food.
  • Keep health centers open in conflict zones.
  • Support farming communities affected by climate change.

Food is a right. Protect it with your signature.
